Hyperloop One has agreed to rebrand itself as 'Virgin Hyperloop One' after Richard Branson's Virgin Group invested in the high-speed transport technology startup. The startup announced Branson is also joining its Board of Directors. Hyperloop One's pods use electromagnetic propulsion and magnetic levitation to travel in near-vacuum tubes and in August achieved a record speed of 309 kmph.
