Hyundai, union reach tentative deal after first strike in decade
Hyundai Motor and its union have reached a tentative wage and bonus agreement after around 40,000 workers staged a rare one-day strike in South Korea. The deal includes a monthly salary increase and a bonus equal to four months' pay. Hyundai also agreed to raise the retirement age from 60 to 65 once nationwide legislation is passed.
