After meeting CEC Gyanesh Kumar, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee criticised the Election Commission, calling it “very arrogant”. She questioned why the SIR was conducted just three months before polls in Bengal, saying that four poll-bound states should have been excluded from SIR. "I can get lakhs of people to Delhi to parade before EC” Banerjee said.
