I can promise whatever I want, I'm the coach: Portugal head coach Jesus on benching Ronaldo

Portugal manager Jorge Jesus defended his decision to bench Cristiano Ronaldo against Norway in UEFA Nations League. "I can promise whatever I want. I'm the coach...I told [Ronaldo]...if I needed him for 30 minutes, he'd play. But I saw the game differently, so he didn't come on," Jesus said. "No player will ever change my ideas as coach," he added.
