US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell denied the possibility of the US economy going into stagflation and said, "I don't see the 'stag' or the 'flation'." The country experienced stagflation, an economy with high inflation, low growth and high unemployment, in the 1970s. "I was around for stagflation. It was brutal...Right now, we have 3% growth," Powell said.
