Vijay Varma recalled that after he was selected in Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), he decided to run away from home because his father was against him becoming an actor. "[H]ad no other choice but to pack...bags and run away when he was travelling...in 2005," Vijay said. "My monthly expenses were given by my ex-girlfriend," he added.
