Producer Vashu Bhagnani claimed that he paid ₹70 crore for director David Dhawan's 2020 directorial 'Coolie No. 1' and later suffered losses. Taking a dig at David, Vashu said the amount was not even the filmmaker’s worth. He also claimed David's son Varun Dhawan, who played the lead role in the flm, did not call him after the film failed.
