A military court has recommended the dismissal of an IAF officer for shooting down a Mi-17 helicopter in friendly fire, killing at least six people, in 2019. Group Captain Suman Roy Chowdhury was found guilty of downing the helicopter with a missile, a day after India's airstrikes in Pakistan's Balakot, when Indian and Pakistani planes were engaged in a fight.
