A Dehradun-based designer claimed that a saree from Sabyasachi's new collection was inspired by her 2017 design and when she left a comment on the post, Sabyasachi's team hid it. Ila Anoop, an ex-IAF pilot, wrote, "Your...work...inspired me...guided me...This hurts." While some called it shameful, another comment read, "I empathise with you but it's neither an imitation nor an inspiration."
