Indian Air Force is set to equip its MiG-29 fighter jets with Advanced Short Range Air-to-Air Missile (ASRAAM). It's a European-designed short-range air-to-air missile built by the multinational company MBDA. ASRAAM's range exceeds 25 kilometres while it accelerates to speeds exceeding Mach 3. The missile has an advanced imaging infrared seeker which gives Indian pilots a lethal first-strike edge.
