IAS officer, suspended over Indore water tragedy that left several dead, made Collector

IAS officer Rohit Sissoniya has been appointed District Collector of Madhya Pradesh's Raisen in a bureaucratic reshuffle. He served as Additional Commissioner (Water Supply) at Indore Municipal Corporation when several people died due to contaminated water in Bhagirathpura, starting December 2025. A judicial probe held two officials including Sissoniya responsible, leading to his suspension.
