Kerala IAS officer Sriram Venkitaraman was arrested on Saturday for killing a journalist in a road accident. The IAS officer was allegedly drunk while driving the car that hit journalist KM Basheer's two-wheeler earlier today. While initial reports had stated that a friend of Venkitaraman was driving the car, the police confirmed that preliminary investigation shows he drove the car.
