US-based software major IBM on Thursday named James Kavanaugh as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), replacing Martin Schroeter from the position. Schroeter, who took over the position in 2014, will take a new role as Senior Vice President, Global Markets, IBM said. Kavanaugh previously served IBM and AT&T as Controller and CFO respectively.
