IBM has announced that it will create a forecasting system that claims to predict weather conditions 12 hours in advance. It also claims to cover parts of the world that do not have access to such detailed data. The system, IBM GRAF — Global High-Resolution Atmospheric Forecasting System — will forecast down to 3 kilometers squared and update hourly.
