IBM has agreed to pay the US government $17 million (about ₹158 crore) to settle a federal probe over the firm's diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices, the US DoJ said. The DoJ alleged that IBM had “knowingly” made “false claims” regarding its hiring and employment practices in its federal contracts. IBM was also accused of employing a "diversity modifier".
