Iceland on Friday will lift remaining COVID-19 restrictions as the health ministry said it wants "as many people as possible" to get infected with COVID-19, to achieve "widespread societal resistance", or herd immunity. Border restrictions, a 200-person limit on public gatherings and restricted opening hours for bars will be lifted. Over 115,000 cases have been registered since the pandemic began.
