IDBI Bank employees will hold a nationwide hunger strike on July 27 to protest the lender's proposed privatisation, BusinessLine reported. The employee union has raised concerns over job security, social security benefits, reservation policies and public accountability. This comes as the strategic sale is expected to conclude by the end of August, despite the bank's improved financial performance.
