Idea Cellular's market capitalisation fell nearly ₹1,900 crore to ₹24,502 crore on Monday after reports that its merger with Vodafone India may not meet the expected June 30 timeline. The Telecom Department is reportedly looking to raise a ₹4,700-crore demand related to one-time spectrum charges on Vodafone. Notably, the combined entity will be India's largest telecom operator, replacing Airtel.
