BYJU’s Co-founder Divya Gokulnath said she and her husband Byju Raveendran don’t own a single house or luxury car. Divya said they’re so cash-strapped that they can’t even afford lawyers to defend themselves in US courts. Addressing allegations of $533-million fraud, she said, “If we were sitting on $533 million, this wouldn’t be the situation...We would’ve thrown money at lawyers.”
