IFS officer Parveen Kaswan has shared pictures showing how elephants bury their dead calves. "We publish multiple documentation of elephant grieving and engaging in community burial of their dead calves. Various herd members participated through their footprints in levelling the soil above/around the carcass–supporting the social-bonds hypothesis," he wrote along with the pictures.
