IISc uses AI to develop anti-venom for multiple snake bites
IISc Bengaluru is using AI to develop broadly effective anti-venoms that could treat bites from multiple snake species. Researchers are analysing venom data to identify common toxin targets, potentially reducing the need for species-specific anti-venoms. The initiative builds on IISc's earlier synthetic anti-venom and venom maps for Russell's Viper, a major cause of snakebite deaths.
