IIT Bombay has received ₹154 crore in donation from an anonymous alumnus. The fund will be used for establishment of a Green Energy and Sustainability Research Hub. "This is a rare occurrence in Indian academia that a philanthropist wishes to stay anonymous," Director and Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri said. Previously, Infosys Co-founder Nandan Nilekani, an IIT Bombay alumnus, donated ₹315 crore.
