Researchers at IIT Bombay have developed eco-friendly materials by combining everyday plastics with biodegradable grasses such as Munja and Bermuda grass. Led by Professor Aparna Singh, the team created strong, lightweight and recyclable green composites, including a 3D printing filament containing 5%-40% Munja grass. The patented materials could support sustainable applications across industries.
