Researchers at IIT Guwahati have developed a bio-electrochemical device, Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) that generates green energy by treating wastewater. MFC is an eco-friendly device that offers dual benefit of bioelectricity generation and waste management. "After scaling the process, it can be used as a source of clean energy using municipal wastewater...economically," Director, IIT Guwahati said.
