IIT Guwahati researchers have developed a nanosensor from milk protein and thymine that can instantly detect water contaminants like mercury and tetracycline antibiotics. Using carbon dots that dim under UV light, the low-cost sensor provides results within 10 seconds, offering a quick solution for water and health safety.
