Indian physicist and IIT Kanpur Professor Harish Chandra Verma has announced his retirement, after 38 years of teaching and research. He has authored several physics textbooks with his most popular work being the two-volume book 'Concepts of Physics' for engineering entrance examinations including IIT-JEE. Born in Patna, the 65-year-old is specialised in the field of experimental nuclear physics.
