Indian researchers from IIT Madras and VIT have developed a low-cost biosensor that detects preeclampsia within 30 minutes by measuring Placental Growth Factor (PlGF) levels. The P-FAB device, validated in clinical tests, enables rapid, accurate diagnosis even in remote areas, marking a major advancement in early maternal health screening.
