Faculty members at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, have founded at least 94 startups with a combined valuation of over ₹1,400 crore as of October 2021, as per data shared by the institute's incubation cell. The faculty members have founded, mentored, or advised over 240 startups in the past decade which are valued at ₹11,500 crore today.
