A product test was conducted on students of a school inside the IIT-Madras campus by researchers, following which parents alleged that the school and IIT authorities didn't obtain their consent. Tamil Nadu's education department has ordered an inquiry and removed the school principal. Parents said students were made to walk and jump after wearing 'smart insoles' inside shoes and smartwatches.
