IIT Madras-incubated lithium-ion battery maker Grinntech has raised around ₹14.6 crore ($2 million) from high net-worth individuals including former Ashok Leyland Vice-Chairman V Sumantran and Cognizant Co-Founder Lakshmi Narayanan. The startup was founded in 2013 by Nikhilesh Mishra and Puneet Jain. Grinntech specialises in lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
