R Subramanian, the founder of retail venture Subhiksha and an alumnus of IIT and IIM, has been jailed for 20 years for defrauding investors. A Chennai court found Subramanian and his accomplices guilty of collecting money through various schemes and diverting the investments via shell companies, Moneycontrol reported. A fine of ₹191.98 crore has been imposed on the convicted entities.
