An explosion caused due to illegal taps on a gasoline pipeline in Mexico's Hidalgo killed 21 people and injured 71 others. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador pledged to step up efforts to stamp out fuel theft following the explosion. The government said that fuel theft cost the country more than $3 billion last year.
