Producer Boney Kapoor responded to cheating allegations by a vendor, who accused him of not paying ₹1 crore for 'Maidaan'. Boney clarified he needs to pay only ₹63 lakh balance which he'll do before film's release. Calling himself a "soft target", Boney said, "If I'm...a cheat, I wouldn't have lasted for 50 years...Will I cheat him for the last payment?"
