Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Sunday responded to a media report of her death. Taking to Twitter, the 58-year-old wrote, "I'm very much alive and taking treatment at Global Hospital...You all are aware of basic journalistic principles. Please bother to verify such news. That's the least one can expect." Pednekar was hospitalised earlier on Sunday after complaining of chest pain.
