IMD scientist Dr RK Jenamani on Sunday said that a red alert has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, while an orange alert has been issued for Rajasthan and Bihar over cold wave and dense fog conditions. The cold wave condition will abate from the night of January 10 due to the western disturbance, he added.
