The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the Delhi-NCR region on Saturday and warned of severe thunderstorms and rainfall. "A thunderstorm cell is approaching Delhi...from the west/northwest," IMD said, adding, "Gusty winds are likely to affect parts of the city in the next 1–2 hours." People are advised to stay indoors, IMD said.
