AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi praised the Supreme Court's decision to overturn its 1967 verdict denying Aligarh Muslim University's minority status. Calling it "an important day for Muslims of India", he stated that Article 30 grants minorities the right to establish and manage their educational institutions. "The right of minorities to educate themselves has been upheld," Owaisi added.
