In 9 years, SBI recovered only 1/3rd of the ₹1.49-lakh-crore bad loans via NCLT: Report

SBI's RTI reply issued to Pune-based activist Vivek Velankar revealed that India's largest bank successfully recovered only one-third of the bad loans it got settled via NCLT in nine years, Moneylife reported. It took a haircut of ₹1 lakh crore on claims worth nearly ₹1.49 lakh crore. Notably, it took a 76% haircut in FY22 on claims worth ₹22,408 crore.
