In a 1st, Japan’s F-2 fighter jets deployed in India for Veer Guardian exercise

In a first-ever move, Japan has deployed its F-2 fighter jets in India for the Veer Guardian exercise being held in Jodhpur. Calling it "a significant milestone for the India-Japan defence partnership", Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said it reflects both nations' "shared commitment to peace...in the Indo-Pacific." This comes after Indian Air Force fighter aircraft visited Japan three years ago.
