In a first, AI boss running a store in US fires human employee
An AI manager running an experimental store in US has fired a human employee for repeated lateness, as the worker was late for 17 of 23 shifts. Luna, running on Claude Opus 4.8, had created attendance policy but lost track of it. Andon Labs, which is running the experiment, asked it to review its memory and assess employee's performance.
