In a first, Cornell University researchers built a low-power microchip which can work on ultrafast data signals and wireless communication signals. Called the 'microwave brain', the processor is fully integrated on a silicon microchip. "Unlike traditional neural networks that rely on...step-by-step instructions...this network uses...nonlinear behaviour in the microwave regime," researchers stated.
