In move to counter China's false claims, India assigns standard names to 28 places in Ladakh

India has formally assigned standard names to 28 places and geographical features in Ladakh on official map of India, in what is being seen as a counter to false territorial claims made by China. Among the land areas are Gogra and Hot Springs, both of which saw friction between Indian and Chinese troops after deadly Galwan Valley clash in 2020.
