India were crowned champions of inaugural ICC T20 World Cup, then called ICC World T20, in 2007. Pakistan won the tournament in 2009, England claimed 2010 edition and West Indies clinched it in 2012. Sri Lanka won in 2014, West Indies again in 2016, Australia in 2021 and England in 2022. India won the tournament for second time in 2024.
