Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan, who passed away at the age of 71, began her career as a background dancer in the 1950s. The three-time National Award winner, also known as "Masterji", choreographed many dance sequences including 'Ek Do Teen', 'Hawa Hawai', 'Dola Re Dola' and 'Tamma Tamma'. She learnt to dance while working under film choreographer B Sohanlal.
