On May 7, videos went viral from at least four Muslim-majority villages in western Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal Lok Sabha constituency, where voters claimed police excesses during the polling day, including snatching their identity cards. While the Sambhal district administration has denied these allegations, The Quint visited these villages and spoke to voters who were injured.
