The RBI may permit Yes Bank to pay depositors up to ₹5 lakh during the 30-day moratorium period under certain circumstances. The ₹50,000 withdrawal limit will be relaxed for depositors who need money for medical treatment, education, marriage or other ceremonies and "any other unavoidable emergency". A "competent authority" will decide on such requests, the government said.
