Gujarat ($4,734), Maharashtra ($4,628), Haryana ($4,627) and Kerala ($4,610) also rank among the top states. Bihar has the lowest average income per person at $984, followed by Uttar Pradesh ($1,403) and Jharkhand ($1,470).
