The Income Tax Department has launched a Foreign Assets Information Report on the e-Filing portal to help taxpayers view details of overseas assets and income. It aims to boost voluntary compliance and verify foreign assets before filing returns or using the proposed FAST-DS 2026 scheme. The report is available through the Annual Information Statement (AIS) on the Compliance Portal.
