Narmada-Kshipra link project, India's first ever river-linking project, was inaugurated by LK Advani on Tuesday. The first phase, completed in a record time of 14 months, will solve the problem of water scarcity in Malwa(Madhya Pradesh). The remaining 3-phases which will connect Ganga to 3-rivers, will provide 3000-villages, 72-towns with drinking water and water to irrigate 16-lakh acres of land.
