India and Australia agreed to a three-year joint research program focused on underwater surveillance. The initiative aims to advance early detection and tracking of submarines and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and its Australian counterpart, the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) will collaborate on this strategic venture.
